I've been going to this clinic now for about 3 months and so far I've been very pleased. What I've experienced is the front staff (Tracy, Nick, Jeanine) are very helpful and kind. They're humans and have bad days sometimes but are usually very friendly. The doctor is also nice and understanding to your dosage needs. Every time I've had a concern about my dose he's always listened thoroughly and provided the needed adjustments. If you're new beware that the intake takes a LONG time to complete. Be prepared to have your blood drawn, a UA done, and talking to a counselor during the intake. After the intake appointment(s) getting dosed rarely takes longer then 2 minutes (seriously) unless its a Saturday morning or holiday weekend and even those wait times are not bad (about 25 minutes on Holiday weekends). All in all this clinic is VERY by the books and follows EVERY regulation required. If you're looking to get clean this place is here to help and will go above and beyond for those who are seriously pursuing getting clean. Good luck to you all in your quest for a better life, and if any of you working there read this thank you for everything its changed my life!
Most of the staff is extremely helpful, but my experience with the doctor has been terrible. He's typically late and is always rude. I don't want to increase my dose because I don't want to go see him. He has called me an addict and has no sympathy at all. He clearly doesn't care about his job or the people he's treating. He even recommended I switch to medical marijuana instead of methadone! Then I found out he's a medical marijuana doctor! I was shocked. Overall, this has been helpful to me and my family, but I cannot recommend the doctor. I wish there was another provider.
BAART helped me through my recovery and after two years I am free of methadone. The reviews I read I agree with as far as the amazing staff and how helpful they are . The only thing is there is a Chandler Police officer that likes to sit in that parking lot and gave me a methadone DUI. I was not the first for this to happen to but everyone should know to be careful if you drive yourself to the clinic.
The first day is intake and it takes 4-5 hours and that was hateful but each day after that you get in and out real quick and that's great! It's the best program that I have been to and I've been to alot of these clinics! You show up every day, see your counselor once a month and even if you have dirty u/A's you won't get kicked off!! Truly it's great!! Increses of 10mg every 2 days! Accepts AHCCCS! You won't regret your decision to go here!!
The staff is great, except the actual doctor you have to see during in-take, changes to your dose and annuals. He's very unprofessional and makes accusations that I found offensive and had nothing to do with my medical/ behavioral treatment. When I broke my arm, I was given pain meds from the hospital, I didn't finish them and flushed them after I showed the clinic the original script with the pills still in the bottle, after the fact he asked me why I tested negative for the pain meds. I told him I flushed them bc I didn't need them and he flat out said I was lying and sold them on the street. He accused me of drug dealing. That's the moment I decided he was lumping me with other patients that perhaps do those sort of things! Since 2010, I've never had a complaint other than that moment. I have never officially put that on record. It's been almost two years since that incident. I love the dosing nurses, counselors, clinic director is the best! Even the security guard they have had the last few years is great. I love the front desk! This is the best staff. They treat patients with dignity and respect! Exluding the prescribing doctor that thinks Im a drug dealer.
Compared to the other clinics in the east valley, this one has a far kinder and more considerate staff. The doctor is a sweety with a hippie heart, and the nurses are all good eggs(especially Marcy).
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! SAVES LIVES & CHANGES LIVES! Baart is an amazing place to get help and change your life! After a little over 3 years I have turned my life around completely! I have gone back to community college and have a 3.5 GPA! Im so close to getting my associates in computer science and moving on to ASU. With out this program I would be on the streets still suffering. Sure they have rules but there very simple to help us get back on our feet and to learn responsibility. Otherwise they make recovery a breeze and very simple. They understand how to help us properly and will never throw you out in the cold. They will stand by you and guide you through it never giving up on you. I promise you they will never throw you out or give up on you! They really do care about people there. Don't listen to anyone else but the people working there. Don't take advice from anyone other than the professionals. Everyone who works there is amazing and awesome! Front desk ladies are awesome and work really hard for everyone! All counselors are amazing and will give your resources, information on anything, and help you through any problems you may have. The new security guard is awesome and keeps the place safe! He is always aware of everything and keeping a eye out for us! He also will help anywhere he can! THE DOSING LADIES ARE THE BEST AND GREAT AT WHAT THEY DO! THEY ALWAYS SAY HELLO AND GOOD MORNING! THEY ALWAYS HAVE POSTERS ON WINDOWS FOR ENCOURAGEMENT TOO! THEY ARE FAST AND ALWAYS SHOW UP! The doctor knows exactly what his doing. The guy is a pro at what his doing. He knows exactly what to do for each individual he assess. He literally saves lives and changes lives. The owner is an amazing lady that does a great job at managing and operating the business. She honestly is the sweetest lady I have ever met. This place has become my family and they have taught me so much.
they close at 11am, their times are incorrect. call them to verify.
Love this place. My bf and I come here day and they are very friendly and welcoming. They showed a lot of care and patience especially when my bf and I are deaf. I love the positivity enivorment there and it gives me hope and strength to fight another day. I'm grateful for this place. I would definitely recommend this place I rather be at the place than be at CBI which gives the opposite energies around me. It feel likes a little fuzzy heaven with happy angels and the CBI feels like a painful eternity of darkness. Keep it up, staff of Baart. You all are awesome!
Hardly ever have to wait to dose after your initial intake. Extremely helpful & caring staff. Lobby & restroom (NOT PUBLIC) is generally always clean, not to mention rarely crowded. Absolutely the BEST program/clinic I've ever been a client of. STRONGLY RECOMMEND!
Best clinic in the valley hands down
Great clinic! Been coming here 5yrs total and while it's not as good as it used to be with regards to getting in to see the doc without waiting hours and hours because the clinic refuses to schedule appointments for dose increase/decrease... But I still love this clinic, they actually care and I'm able to get in & out to dose nice and early without hassle everyday.
Best clinic I have been to thus far and I have been to a few. The staff and Dr. are excellent and very helpful. All the nurses are professional and always in a good mood and happy which to me personally is a huge plus. Highly recommended to anyone who needs help getting better and is ready to take the next step towards sobriety. A++++
I took my mom. They got her an appointment in five days. I did have to push a little to get her in. We had previously went to the behavior health center in Phx 18st/Washington location 4:00am, no dr and they turned us away. They also weren't taking appointments. We went to there Tempe location 3:45am 2 days later. Turned away after my mom waited 6 hours. Scottsdale self pay Scottsdale rd/Roosevelt area. Turned away because it was the July 3rd and they didn't want to dose her for the holiday. So I finally called chandler BAART back cause we had been trying to get an appointment. They gave her one the next day. My advice and this is how we finally got seen. If you have AHCCCS. They have 7 days from the day you contact them or it's a violation of there contract. This is how I got an appointment so the behavior health center in Phx/Tempe is clearly violating AHCCCS contract turning my mother/ others away three weeks in a row!!!! We almost went to Mexico. BAART was great!!!! My mom said they were VERY PROFESSIONAL and nice group of people. She has her transportation set up everyday to. The other clinic that was helpful but was on power road in Mesa to far for my mom. It should not be this hard to get help!!!! Thank you BAART for all your help!!!!
We love this place it saved our life's thank you god for opening our eyes and showing us the way that there is help out there and the staff here especially the girls up front are wonderful people that have huge hearts
Would give 5 stars but there's a couple reasons why I can't. First, the intake process. I was lucky enough to be seen on my first attempt, but I've seen them only do 1 intake on a day or none at all, not to mention how early you have to get there just to HOPEFULLY be seen...They should take appointments. The second reason is because of the increasing dosage procedure. At my old clinic back home you'd get your 35mg starting dose on your first day, then you were able to go up 5mg a day for the first 5 days and then up 5mg every 2 days after that until you reach 150mg and then you need doctor approval to go up. At BAART you have to get there super early in the morning to see the doctor to request for a dose increase...to me these ways of doing things does not seem efficient....thankfully I only planned on staying at the starting dose anyways. Overall though, this clinic gets a good review from me. I'm in and out every morning except for Saturday and I always have small talk with the nurses and they always ask how I'm doing or how my day is going. I'm betting the people with bad reviews are actually the real reason for any "issues" they may have! There are A LOT of rude people that go to this clinic! Some very disrespectful people and piss poor attitudes!
I started about 1 week ago and my first day (admission) although it took several hours I got in, got seen by doctor, and got medicated, they explain everything the first day and are very upfront about what they expect witch is all fair and basic behavior. The ladies at the front desk are great to chat with and always have a smile on their face.like a couple other said I would have given a 5 Stars but the dose increase process I think could be changed to make it alittle easier rather then having to be there several hours earlier then the doctor even comes in.over all SO FAR a great experience.
Just started at this clinic since moving to Az . Marci is incredibly helpful and supportive of her patients. She was very patient and answered all my questions- very professional. My counselor David was very informative and professional. I don't know any other employees names , but the complete staff at Baart is excellent. Do not hesitate coming here . People need to understand this is a business , treat them with respect and you will get the same.
Nice staff!!
