My dad stayed in Montecito and everyone always had a smile on their face. The nurses always came in to give my dad his meds with a smile and positivity. The therapists always made my dad happy with their kind words. They motivated my dad even more everyday at therapy. I’m so thankful for these people that helped my dad recover. We met a lot of amazing people. Thank you for all your help!

I have had 2 stays a Montecito, the first was for recovery and Physical Therapy after back surgery. The Physical Therapy team was wonderful and helped me to fully recover. Currently I am a resident again at Montecito. I have been here since April for therapy and recovery after an emergency surgery that left me paralyzed. I have been treated with dignity and respect these past months. The staff has been amazing at helping me feel comfortable and cared for especially with many personal and unexpected issues additionally to my regular care.

I’ve been a patient at Montecito for the past year, and during that time I’ve had lots of amazing people cross my path and help me through my journey. Some of the staff at Montecito have become more like family to me. They have helped me through a lot of difficult things. To name a few of the amazing staff members is Burgandy, Amber, Debbi, Jacki, Tatiana, Luke, Ashley, Juanita, Pearl, Sam, Forrest, Johnathan, Ash, James, Cherry, Susanne, Lisa, Eric, Linda, Pam, and many more. They were there for me when my grandfather passed away back in February and more recently have been here to help me after a brain surgery. They go above and beyond the duties of the job description and it has really meant a lot to me. Thanks Montecito for helping me in my journey to recovery!!!

I can not begin to say enough great things about this facility. The first few days were a rough transition however the entire staff worked well to turn things around and make everything better. The physical therapy team is fantastic! They had such a way to motivate and encourage mom to help her walk again. We can not recommend Montecito enough!

I would very highly recommend them for anyone that is needing post acute care! And I am very grateful for the care that they have provided

I have worked with the team at Montecito for the last 30 days, and have been extremely impressed. They are a great partner to the community that they serve and help hundreds of people each month with their recovery and rehab needs. They go above and beyond to try and resolve patient concerns and seek out ways to remedy mistakes. Staff are friendly and welcoming from Housekeeping to Clinical Staff to Business Office. I am proud to be part of the team and welcome feedback to help myself and team improve.

I was impressed with the staff. They are upbeat and always willing to help. They are very professional and there when you need them. The only problem was the food. It was cold at times. Sandwiches were often soggy. However, for the most part the food was tasty and presented well. I wouldn’t hesitate coming again.

When looking for a rehabilitation facility for my mother in law, we were very impressed with Montecito. The place is spotless and everyone was friendly and extremely helpful. I find first impressions to be very important , and even on our initial tour with Danielle, I knew this is where I wanted my mother in law to be. Michelle is who I worked with to get my mother in law into the facility. She was very helpful and always kept me informed on the status of everything. She went the extra mile to make sure we were informed and content. She even talked to me regarding my mother in law on her day off. I feel comfortable having any family member at Montecito.

Montecito has been a place where I know my family will be well taken care of by the nursing staff as the admission staff and everything in between. Michelle the admissions gal continually goes above and beyond to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The nursing staff continually is looking to provide the highest level of care. I truly appreciate the care given there.

This place is great! The nursing assistants are always smiling and extremely helpful. They respond quickly to the lights. They sit and talk to us. The nurses are super friendly. They explain the medications they are giving. They are responsive to questions and let the doctor know if anything comes up. Therapy was always friendly and helped the nursing assistants whenever they needed help. The room was always clean and smelt good. The housekeepers came to clean the room daily and even on weekends they cleaned. The building was recently renovated and all the upgrades were great. Any concerns that I had were addressed immediately. The nursing manager addressed everything right away. A lot of staff came to check up on a daily basis. And continued to help out throughout the entire time. I was truly pleased with this facility. I highly recommend bringing your loved one here. You will not be disappointed. If you have any concerns the admissions director will always respond to your calls. And then relayed the message to the staff within the building. It was amazing how well the communication works at this facility.

I have toured the facility and it is great. The nursing staff looked hard at work and I was greeted right away when walking in. The admission staff was great in providing me with a tour. The facility smelt great. Patients were smiling. Therapy spoke with me and explained the process. They answered all of my questions. I would love to send my loved one here.

No one has ever walked into the door of a nursing facility with so much distaste for the idea of leaving my mother there as I did. Montecito was not my first choice, they refused my Mom because she required to much attention. I would not even go home at night I stayed at my mothers apt. closer than my home which was 35 miles away. After 5 weeks I cannot say enough great comments about the care that my mother received, the caregivers were exceptional they kept an upbeat attitude with my mom who has advanced dementia and was very confused after falling and breaking her hip at 91 going thru surgery. Therapy was also great taking time with her keeping her therapist consistent and encouraging. Nurses who helped me as well as my Mom. The administration who didn't have to do anymore than have me sign her in was caring and welcoming throughout her stay. Sometimes as a family member or patient the best medicine is a friendly face a smile or a caring hug. The past 6 weeks have been the hardest of my life watching my mother/best friend/biggest supporter face the end of her life with dementia she at times doesn't know me and others thinks she hates me. But a few moments here and there she is still my Mom and Montecito helped me enjoy those moments. My Mom is walking now and home but with her age and health problems I know I have the odds stacked against her, if I need to go back to skilled care with her it would be Montecito. People who care for our loved ones deserve a special respect, writing crazy reviews because you didn't want to be there doesn't help people like me who just want to know our loved ones are safe, cared for and are being helped to get back to whatever life has for them. No one tried to hold on to my Mom and she was 91 and in need of constant care. Think before you post we need to know there are still places we can trust our loved ones too.

As a disclaimer first - I work in the business office at Montecito. I walk the halls two or three times per day, and I routinely visit with patients. Part of my job is to inquire about issues patients may be having, and see if there is anything I can do to help resolve any concerns, if they have any. I am surprised at the negative reviews here, as the percentage of patients who are highly satisfied and happy with our facility (at least when I speak with them) is far, far greater than those who are unhappy with the care. From my point of view, most patients are thrilled with our facility, our staff and our therapy department. As far as cleanliness, Montecito shines! With as many residents that we have here, of course messes sometimes happen. But our housekeeping and maintenance departments are amazing and keep everything beautiful! We recently got new flooring and are now in the process of updating patient bathrooms. It smells nice in our facility and the rooms are very tidy. The kitchen was also remodeled last year. We are always happy to let you tour the building to see for yourself. We have a proactive approach to ensure patient issues are resolved. We work mostly with the elderly and sick, so complaints are a part of the process, but I have seen firsthand that the staff here do everything they can to help people be comfortable and heal quickly. I don't know any of the people who have posted these negative reviews, so I can't speak for them.. but the things they describe are CERTAINLY not what I (and the patients I talk to) have experienced at Montecito. Incidentally, my cousin was recently here, and she loved the care she got at Montecito. She was impressed with the staff and appreciated how kind they were. She was in the rehab center long enough to feel better, and it was great to see that they helped her be ready to go home and continue her healing there. We are happy she chose Montecito, and assure those who are doing research that this is a great choice for yourself or a loved one! It's a great place that is welcoming and homey. Again, I'm in the business office, and I'll be happy to talk to you personally if you have any concerns.

This facility is one of the best that I've been to of this type. They usually have fresh baked cookies at the front desk for free. I've tried several of the meals there and they are pretty good. Especially the homemade soup and teriyaki chicken. The staff is very caring and does their best to make sure all family and patient concerns are addressed and taken care of. Facility is very clean and free from odors. Case managers are very helpful with setting up home services and helping smooth out the transition back to home.

I love Montecito! They took care of my friends father who suffered from a stroke and treated him very well. I know the nurses and therapists were always concerned about his well being because of the daily follow up and demonstration of care he received. After rehab he was sent to a care home and wished he could go back. His room was always clean and the staff are warm and friendly. I know everyone at Montecito gives 100% to the patients and their families. If one of my family members need a place to go for rehab/nursing, I'm sending them to Montecito.
